Growing Together

Work is underway for a brighter future at the Maple Grove Community Center

The City of Maple Grove is moving forward on a plan to renovate and expand the Maple Grove Community Center to serve our growing and diversifying population.

After nearly 25 years from when the Community Center first opened its doors, Maple Grove residents approved a local half-percent sales tax to reinvest in the building, ensuring it can continue serving our rapidly-growing community for the next 25 years.

Design work and pre-construction is in progress, and construction on the first project in phase one — adding a third sheet of ice to the ice arena — has begun.

On November 7, 2024, the City of Maple Grove and Life Time announced plans to complete a land exchange agreement that will allow Life Time to build a new health club in the Minnesota Health Village. In exchange, the city will take ownership of Life Time's current building, which adjoins the Maple Grove Community Center.

The city will provide updates on this project website as we continue to move forward with the Community Center expansion and renovation.
